Initially inspired from modern dance and Pilates, barre classes were introduced by Lotte Berk in the 1960’s as a new way to build her strength and tone her muscles before dancing.

Designed to tone and engage deep muscles you wouldn't normally target, The Barre Affair can help you build your core strength, get a leaner silhouette, increase flexibility and give you a boost of energy.
For each movement, I provide guidance, an easy-to-follow progression and options to challenge yourself even more. We start with a quick warm-up, then we work the whole body with a focus on legs, glutes, arms and core and an emphasis on form and alignment.
With repetitions of small, pulsing and low-impact movements, some exercises can be intense and you might shake!
